Awards & Medals

There are no prizes for finishing a brevet but for those who want to commemorate a special ride, there is usually a medal available (and after a gruelling 400 you usually feel like you deserve one.)  Audax Club Parisien offer medals at a price of €5 to the finishers of all BRM rides – to order one, check the box on the back of your brevet card and pay the organiser at the end of the ride.  The medal will be returned with your brevet card a few weeks after the ride.  The ACP medals change design after each Paris-Brest-Paris.  In addition, most grand randonnees will have their own unique medal.  As these awards are organised by Audax Club Parisien, only official Calendar rides can count towards them.  It is not possible to use “Permanent” rides, as they are not ACP events.

This is awarded to riders who complete an ACP-sanctioned brevet series of 200km, 300km, 400km, and 600 km in an ACP year (Nov 1st to Oct 31).  It is considered to be a lifetime award – once a Super Randonneur, always a Super Randonneur – but Audax UK also recognise as Ultra Randonneurs those who complete 10 Super Randonneur series.  ACP does not allow substitution of a longer event for a shorter event.  The Super Randonneur Medal costs €6, and should be paid to paypal@audaxireland.org, or e-mail nialldiamond1@gmail.com to make alternative payment arrangements.

Randonneur 5000

This is awarded to riders who complete the following within a four-year period: a Super Randonneur series; a 1000km brevet; the 1200km Paris-Brest-Paris event; a Flèche event (360km+) and other brevet rides (over 200km and totalling 960km)  to bring the total distance covered to 5000km within a four-year period from the date of the first event.  The Randonneur 5000 Medal costs €10, and should be paid to paypal@audaxireland.org, or e-mail nialldiamond1@gmail.com to make alternative payment arrangements.

International Super Randonneur

International Awards

International Super Randonneur

The ISR award is administered by Richard Phipps on behalf of Randonneurs Mondiaux and recognizes riders who complete brevets in multiple countries. A rider can complete a Super Randonneur series, (i.e., 200, 300, 400 and 600km brevets), with each ride in a different country, over any period of time, and become an International Super Randonneur.  See the ISR website for more details.

Elevated ISR

Elevated ISR awards are also recognised; for instance a rider completing three 600km rides in different countries in Europe and one 1000km in North America would be designated a 2 Continents International Super Randonneur 600.
