Route Description: Starting from the Boyne Valley Shopping Centre in Drogheda, the route heads out to the east coast, and follows it for around 20km to Castlebellingham, and onwards to pass Lough Muckno and Castleblayney.  The northernmost point of the route is at 98km at Clontibret, when the route takes a turn to the south-west and passes through Ballybay, the Monaghan Lake District and on to Shercock.  Bailieborough marks the highest point of the route, and the last stretch from Kingscourt follows peaceful country roads all the way back to Drogheda.
