Route Description: There probably isn’t a huge demand for a permanent at this distance. However, this route is basically Mizen Head to Malin Head which is on many people’s bucket list.
It starts in Schull for two reasons:
- To bring the route up to 600km
- To facilitate food/accommodation the night before starting
Riders leaving Schull before dawn can get a daybreak photo at Mizen Head and make it to Malin Head before closing time the next day.
The Mizen to Malin section is about as flat as possible.
Below is an audax route sheet and a link to the route on Ride with GPS.
There are nominal controls along the way – but there is little benefit in going off route.
