Antrim 300–now taking entries.

I am now taking entries for the Antrim 300 on 1’st October.

Full details – http://www.audaxireland.org/events-calendar/gazetteer/300km-events/antrim-300/

Route is unchanged from last year (subject to check).

NO SIGN UP ON THE DAY – but you can pay on the day.  If you want to pay PayPal – send it to me – sending it to the club just confuses me as I don’t know who’s paid what where.

Send me completed forms by email (stuartm@stiona.com), post etc.

OR just send me the details below by email – this is actually my preferred entry format as I can just cut and paste.

Please stop sending me Euro postal orders as I can’t easily cash them – although they do seem to increase in value!

Antrim 300 entries open

Entries are now open for the inaugural Antrim 300 on  Saturday 4’th October, starting and finishing in Belfast.

Full details on the event page – http://www.audaxireland.org/calendar/gazetteer/antrim-300/

I completed the first test ride of the full route yesterday evening and this morning.  Some fantastic scenery (Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty) with VIRTUALLY NO POTHOLES!

The route is fairly demanding – my Garmin clocked 4400m so allow yourself plenty of time to complete.  Bring good lights and plenty of gears.

Route is pretty much as per current link on the page – I just need to remove the off-road section – which was great at night but was too narrow a path for the day when pedestrians will be around, find a better route back into Belfast and remove the gratuitous detour to the 24 hour McDonalds for my breakfast at 6am this morning!

I’m away 17-21 September so entries received then will not get acknowledged until 22’nd.

Final route check is 28’th September – I will be sending out route sheets the week after.
