I’ll be carrying out a final route check on Sunday and updating gps and route sheet.
With about 4000 m of climbing this should not be the toughest of 400’s, but close observers of the profile may notice a couple of sharp climbs, including the “Gap of Mamore” from the old Audax Ireland banner. The Sperrins start at about 280Km offering some challenge to tired legs.

From Belfast we head North East and to the ferry across Lough Foyle from Magilligan to Greencastle.
Having left “The North” into “The South”, we carry on heading North, following the North Atlantic to the top of Ireland – Malin Head.
From Malin, we head to “The Maiden City” for a look at her walls, and then follow the National Cycle Networks (NCN) routes back to Belfast via Cookstown (with a 24 hour McDonalds), south of Lough Neagh.
