Helmets and Cycling Ireland Licence mandatory. One-day Licence is available for €20, and will be added automatically on Eventmaster if you do not have a valid Annual Cycling Ireland Licence Number.

Route Description:

The route takes in the best of the scenery of Co. Clare and touching Tipperary, Galway and Limerick. It meanders along rivers and lakes and over hills. Day One will take in the shores of Lough Derg, Portumna, Killaloe gap, Limerick City, Quin, the Shannon Estuary, Loop Head peninsula, Kilkee. Day two includes the Clare Martello towers, the Burren, Poulnabrone Dolmen, Kinvarra, Black Head, Father Ted’s house, Kilmacduagh Abbey, Thoor Ballylee.

The roads are mainly fair tar and chip except a 900m stretch between Fanore and Doolin and the 4km stretch of gravelly and grassy green road and there are of course a couple of hills in the course.
