Route Description:
The Coast to Coast 600 starts in Stamullen, on the Dublin/Meath Border and consists of two loops, first goes across the country to Ballyshannon completing the loop at 480 KM. The second loop is 120 km acts as a short spin out to Athboy, Kells and Slane. This means you will be returning to the start after the first loop, so plan stops and food before hand.
The route has some bits of climbing in parts but nothing too taxing.. The route passes through villages & towns on the way back to and from Stamullen that are well stocked with food shops and sit down places to eat. Given the time of year the weather could be the challenging part of this event so you should be prepared for changes in the weather and night cycling by bringing spare clothes, tools, and bike spares.
