Tubbercurry Offroad 200

Date: CANCELLED FOR 2022

Further to information received recently from Coillte regarding Permit, and permission of landowners and rights holders for the various areas of private land on the route, it will not be possible to run this event in 2022.  Hopefully it can be reorganised again in the future.

This event can also be ridden as a Permanent on a date of your choice, by arrangement with the Organiser.

Route Description

This is a self-supported event with main controls at Aclare, 85km and Bonniconlon at 113km.  This 200km event is a mix of 50/50 off road, on road. There will be a 100km option on the day which is the same as the 200 to 85km (Aclare control) and then takes a shortcut to pick up the 200 route at 185km, and follow to the finish. The 100km event is almost flat and the longer event has no big climbs. Surfaces vary from tarmac, bog, gravel, grass but are all solid with no bad rough sections. Ample Parking is available at the start which is beside the clock on the square. My choice of bike for this type of event is hardtail MTB 29er with minimum 45c (1.75”) tyres.
