Start Location: Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo

Route Description:

This route within Co Sligo starting from Tubbercurry passes some of the Lakes and Hills of Sligo and covers parts of The Sligo Way and EV1. (99.9% tar roads).

From Tubbercurry Lough Talt is first up at 15km, then on through the Ox Mountains to Lough Easky at 25km and the Ladies Brea. On the way to Coolaney at 58km you pass the National MTB Park. Strandhill at 83km might be the last place to refuel for a while so have a good look up at Knockrea, Queen Maeve might be watching down on you.  On towards Geevagh and there are fine views of Lough Arrow from Highwood at 122km. The Caves of Kesh Hill at 143km have some history but a visit will be for another day. On to Ballinafad and another view of Lough Arrow before heading to Ballymote.
