Route Description:

The NBCC 200, is now the flattest Audax event on the calendar taking in some beautiful long stretches of road. The route heads out of Dublin via Phoenix Park towards Maynooth and on to Summerhill. From there the route takes in some real Audax roads as it winds its way to Castlepollard. The return leg will take you past Fore Abbey, on to Athboy past Bective Abbey on way to Killmessan and finally back into Dublin via the airport. The controls for this event are Summerhill (Centra), Castlepollard (Top Garage) and Killmessan (Centra), with plenty of other villages along the route to refuel (would recommend the Sabarosa in Athboy if you want some solid food!) The route has been designed with first time Audax participants in mind or indeed those wanting to do something flatter than the normal series of Audax summer routes. A great introduction to Audax and the 200km distance.
