Further Covid-19 Restrictions

As you will be aware, the Government has now restricted sport to a brief session within 2km of home for at least the next 2 weeks until Easter Sunday, 12th April. Therefore please note that no RRTY rides will be recognised by the club for this period, effective immediately. It is possible that these restrictions could be extended further at a later date.

Any rider who is currently in the process of completing an RRTY series can suspend it, and recommence at a later date, whenever restrictions are lifted.

Covid 19 Cancellations

Due to the current Covid 19 situation in Ireland, all Cycling Events are cancelled, up to the 19th April, which may be extended at a later date. Some events may be rescheduled to later dates, but we will not be able to confirm any details until the ban is lifted, whenever that may be.

Events currently cancelled/postponed (up to 19.04.20) are:

Midlands 300 (Orwell Wheelers)

Fleche 2020

3 Rivers 300

Easter Fleche cancelled

Please note that the Easter Fleche will not be going ahead at the moment. I suspect the current “ban” is likely to be extended beyond 29th March, and even if lifted, riders would be under-prepared, and availability of late-night food etc on routes would be very limited. Whether the event is run later in the year will depend on what ACP in France decide, so more info later on that.
