Routesheet: Coastal Classique 200 (Dalkey and Blackrock starts have separate worksheets/tabs)

Start/Finish: Cuala GAA, Hyde Road, Dalkey OR Main Street, Blackrock.

The Coastal Classique is an undulating 200 designed to take in the coast in the first half with the return leg having various hills to mix it up and to creatively avoid the N11. For those not having GPS, or cycling out from other parts, the route can be taken up in Blackrock with control points in Blackrock, Courttown, Gorey (Applegreen on the edge), Newtownmountkennedy, Enniskerry and Blackrock. The Classique was designed for a Dalkey start and finish and includes a final bump of deVesci that is missing from the Blackrock route. Attention is drawn to the smaller roads throughout the route containing some narrow bends with potentially bumpy road surfaces. In addition the route comes back to urban areas where traffic may start to build up so be vigilant on the return to Arklow, Wicklow/Rathnew and Dalkey/Dun Laoghaire.

This is not a Calendar event, and can be ridden as a Permanent only, by arrangement with Eugene.

Cycling Ireland Licence required. Permanents cannot be ridden on a 1-day Licence.
